Deborah Baldini is Teaching Professor of Spanish and Associate Dean for the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Missouri St. Louis.

Dr. Baldini received a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, an MA in Spanish Language and Literature from Washington University in St. Louis, and a BA cum laude in Spanish Language and Literature from Washington University in St. Louis.  Dr. Baldini completed the Management Development Program at Harvard University.

Dr. Baldini has taught Spanish at UM-St. Louis since 1980. She has published software for college level Spanish, has served as a reviewer of college level Spanish textbooks and multimedia projects, and has served as a consultant to high schools, community colleges and universities. She has presented papers at numerous state and national conferences and has been a member of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, the Foreign Language Teachers Association, the University Continuing Education Association, and the American Council on Education Missouri Network for Women in Higher Education. Dr. Baldini has served on the Fulbright National Screening Committee and was a member of the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) Board of Reviewers.

In addition, Dr. Baldini has served as Associate Dean to the College of Arts and Sciences since 1998, providing leadership in the development, planning, management, and evaluation of innovative programming that responds to the needs of a diverse array of learners. In so doing, Dr. Baldini has extended the land grant mission of the University to residents of the St. Louis Metropolitan region through collaboration with internal and external partners, community organizations, and diverse constituencies.
