Julianne Stone

Julianne Stone currently serves as an adjunct instructor for the Public Policy Administration (PPA), and is the Vice President, Strategic Initiatives at Bi-State Development.

Stone has been teaching PPA 6340 and 6350, two courses in City Administration offered in conjunction with the St. Louis Area City Management Association. PPA offers the Chancellor’s Certificate in Economic Development in conjunction with Bi-State Development and Urban Land Institute.

Prior to her current role, Stone was the Director of the Local Government Partnership, a program co-sponsored by PPA, the Center for Ethics in Public Life at UMSL, and the East-West Gateway Council of Governments.

Stone previously was the  the Director of the St. Louis Urban Outreach Office of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. She served as Policy Assistant to former St. Louis City Mayor Clarence Harmon.

She holds a Master's Degree, and is ABD in Political Science from Washington University, and has a Bachelor's Degree in Government from Oberlin College.
