Educational Specialist - School Psychology

Degree Program


Minimum 60 hours consisting of psychological and educational foundations, assessment, and direct interventions. The program emphasizes prevention and early intervention of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional problems through consultation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and systems-level interventions


500-hours of supervised practicum. Fulltime (1,400-hours) internship in schools for one academic year

    1. Prerequisite coursework in developmental psychology and statistics is required for admission 

  4. GRE Scores 

    1. Verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing at or above 50th percentile

  5. Three Letters of Recommendation

  6. International students are also required to document English proficiency by providing scores from an internationally accepted standardized examination before a decision is made on admission

  7. GPA minimum of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

  8. Personal Statement describing professional goals (not to exceed five double-spaced, typed pages)

  9. Personal Interview with members of the school psychology faculty


Applications are reviewed annually with a February 15 deadline.
