Educational Specialist - Education Administration

Degree Program

Minimum 60 hours coursework to meet academic standards for Elementary and Secondary advanced school administrator certification in Missouri; no more than 30 credit hours from an NCATE-accredited master's degree can be applied. The last 15 hours must be completed after being admitted to the Ed.S. program. Writing Exit Requirements and Examination Exit Requirements must be completed no sooner than one semester before completing all degree requirements. Students seeking the superintendent certification must complete 10 specifically required courses.

  2. Official transcripts documenting undergraduate degree and MASTER’S DEGREE IN EDUCATION ADMINISTRATION
  3. International students are also required to document English proficiency by providing scores from an internationally accepted standardized examination before a decision is made on admission.
  4. Three Letters of Recommendation from:
    1. an educator presently occupying a position equal or similar to that which the applicant aspires,
    2. a professor with direct knowledge of the applicant's graduate work, and
    3. a character reference (non-family)
  5. Grade Point Average: Minimum of 3.25 on 4.0 scale

Applications are processed as they are submitted, but there is limited space and it's competitive.

$50 for domestic applicants; $40 for international applicants
