Welcome to the Survive & Thrive in Graduate School student success series!

These workshops are offered throughout the academic year to provide all graduate students with resources to guide and support them in their academic programs.

Workshops include:

• A presentation by an UMSL faculty member derived from content material supplied through the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD).
• Tasks, worksheets, and group activities facilitated by faculty support staff.
• Opportunities to meet and network with other graduate students.
• Snacks provided.

Let's Begin-

Click the links in the slideshow above to complete a Google form for workshops as they become available. In the meantime, please read our Survive & Thrive FAQ below.

Survive & Thrive FAQ

Q: How do I get the materials I need to prepare for each module?
Access NCFFD resources by following these steps:
1. Go to https://www.facultydiversity.org/institutions/umsl
2. Complete the registration form using your UMSL student email address.
3. Check your UMSL email to find the NCFDD confirmation/welcome email, and click "Activate Account".
Q: My schedule conflicts with workshop dates and times. Can I still participate?
While we strongly encourage all graduate students to attend the workshops, we recognize that not everyone can. Students will have access to workshop content and assignments through our Canvas certificate course. To be added to the Canvas group, please register through the slideshow links as described above.
