UMSL Fellowships

Masters Recruitment Fellowships are awards funded by the Graduate School with the intent to attract top-quality masters and specialist students to The University of Missouri – St. Louis.  There is no submission deadline. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Doctoral Recruitment Fellowships are awards funded by the Graduate School with the intent to attract and recruit exceptional graduate students to enroll in full-time doctoral studies at the University of Missouri–St. Louis.  Awards are open to applicants in all doctoral programs.  There is no submission deadline. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Dissertation Fellowships support the completion of a dissertation by providing a stipend of $15,000 for the academic year.  Deadlines are posted on the Dissertation Fellowships page.

A Bridge Fellowship is offered annually to an outstanding University of Missouri-St. Louis graduate student who participated in the UMSL Bridge Program while in high school in University City, Normandy, Wellston, or St. Louis City. To apply, students should submit their application through the Office of Financial Aid.

McNair Scholars

The Graduate School welcomes McNair Scholars by waiving the application fee.  Please identify yourself as a McNair Scholar in the Statement of Purpose on the application and then request that your program director confirm your status in an email to Graduate Admissions. You may also be eligible for one of our doctoral recruitment awards.

There are numerous fellowships offered by outside agencies and organizations.
