Research
Study for Adults with Normal or Amblyopic Vision
You are invited to participate in a research study conducted by Dr. Erwin
Wong of the University of Missouri - St. Louis, College of Optometry.
In the study, you will be asked to look at a series of patterns on a computer
monitor and make simple perceptual judgments.
If you are 18–60 years of age, have
1. amblyopia (“lazy eye”), or
2. normal vision in both eyes and are interested in participating
in the study, please contact:
Dr. Erwin Wong (Principal Investigator) at 314-516-6516.
If selected for the study you will receive $10.00 per hour of participation.
Experiment sessions last 1–2 hours and about 20 hours are needed to
complete the study. All sessions will take place in 450 Marillac Hall. Days
and times are flexible.
Functional
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) Research Study for Adults with Normal
or Amblyopic Vision
You are invited to participate in a research study conducted by Dr. Erwin
Wong of the University of Missouri – St. Louis and
Washington University. In the study, you will be asked
to make simple visual judgments during a functional magnetic resonance imaging
(fMRI) brain scan.
Screenings for vision and fMRI eligibility will take place in 450 Marillac
Hall, University of Missouri – St. Louis, College of Optometry. FMRI
scans will take place at the Neuro-Imaging Center, Washington University
School of Medicine.
If you are age 18–60 and have
1. amblyopia (“lazy eye”) or
2. normal vision in both eyes
and are interested in participating in the study, please contact:
Dr. Erwin Wong (Principal Investigator) at 314-516-6516.
Screenings for vision and fRMI eligibility will take approximately 30 minutes
and you will not be paid for this time. If selected for the study you will
receive $25.00 per hour of participation in fMRI experiments. Experiment
sessions last 2–3 hours and approximately 4 sessions are needed to
complete the study.
