Crane, O.D. Dr. Crane’s primary teaching responsibilities are lecturing in ocular disease, and serving as a preceptor in the College of Optometry clinics. Insuring a solid translation of academic concepts into effective clinical ocular diagnosis and management techniques is his primary teaching interest. Dr. Crane was in private solo and group practice in the St. Louis area for 9 years before joining the College of Optometry full time in 2000. Other interests include practice management, the genetic basis of eye disease, the cornea, ocular effects of systemic diseases and medications, pediatric eye care, and contact lenses. Dr. John B.
