Research Associate/Scientist Positions
The Visual and Biomedical Optics Laboratory at the College of Optometry at the University of Missouri-St. Louis invites applicants for two postdoctoral Research Associate/Scientist positions to work on exciting projects funded by National Institute of Health. The laboratory is well-equipped with the state-of-the-art optical and optoelectronic devices and systems and provides an exciting dynamic research environment. The position offers excellent opportunities to interact with researchers in engineering and medical science for an interdisciplinary research training.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in optical/electrical/biomedical engineering, vision science, or physics, possess solid experience in optics, microfabrication, and imaging systems, and have good skills in simulations. Self motivation and creativity are highly desirable.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will develop novel liquid crystal and other electro-optic devices for vision care and biomedical imaging and sensing, investigate new confocal and optical coherence tomographic imaging systems, publish results, and provide other technical supports to the lab.
