Jeffrey L. Weaver, O.D., M.B.A., M.S.
Dr. Weaver is the Executive Director of the American Board of Optometry, and is part of a 4-doctor group optometric practice in Creve Coeur, Missouri. At the University of Missouri-St. Louis, he teaches Environmental Vision and precepts interns in the Primary Care Clinic.
Weaver is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and a Diplomate in Public Health and Environmental Vision since 2003. He is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, Board Certified in Healthcare Management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), and is an ASAE Certified Association Executive (CAE).
He is a Fellow of the European Academy of Optometry and Optics and a Distinguished Policy Fellow of the National Academies of Practice. Weaver currently serves on the Legislation, Registration and Standards Committee and the Advocacy Committee of the World Council of Optometry. He is Past President of the Missouri Optometric Association.
He retired in 2012 as a Colonel from the U.S. Army Reserve after serving 30 years as a clinical optometrist, administrator, researcher and commander. Recently, he has become more active in humanitarian missions, bringing much needed eye care services to El Salvador and Peru with Hazelwood Baptist Church and Tom Cox World Ministries.
