Externs are responsible for tuition costs for the summer nurse extern program.  This is a 3 credit hour course and is a mandatory requirement of the program.   BJC will pay 50% of the total costs of the tuition and School of Nursing Fees for instate and out of state students.  Other UMSL fees will be charged and are not optional.  Out of state students may be eligible for the National  Access Award that will cover 59% of the out of state tuition if grades are 2.75 or above.  The National Access Grant does not apply to International Students.  In 2008, costs for in state students was approximately $800 and cost for out of state students was approximately $1000.  See Extern 2008 Course Fees for more information.
