Nurses who already have a MSN are eligible to take coursework to achieve a post MSN certificate in an area of Advanced Nursing Practice. At the end of the program, Nurse Practitioner students are eligible to take the examination for certification in any of our specialty areas. Post-masters curricula focus on the core MSN and the track-specific content for the role. The length of the program and the specific plan of study for each student will vary, depending on the students previous academic coursework and the students proposed Advanced Practice Role.
A post MSN certificate in Nursing Education, although not currently offered, is in the process of being approved.
"UMSL's College of Nursing gave me the opportunity to work full-time, take care of my family, and further my career. I Chose UMSL because they offered the degree I wanted and because it was affordable."
