Doctoral Admissions Criteria
DNP Admission Criteria
- Graduate of an accredited MSN program or within 6 months of graduation
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- 2 letters of reference
- A proposed DNP clinical project that matches faculty expertise
- Graduate level general statistics course (within 5 years)
- Interview by invitation
- Currently practicing in an advanced practice role
- Current advanced practice nursing recognition in Missouri or eligible for recognition as an advanced practice nurse in Missouri
PhD Admission Criteria
- BSN to PhD program - graduation from a nationally accredited baccalaureate program with 3.2 minimum GPA (4.0) scale. MSN to PhD program - graduation from a nationally accredited master’s program with 3.5 minimum GPA (4.0) scale.
- Satisfactory Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores
- Two letters of reference
- Original writing sample on professional goals and research interests
- Interview by invitation
