How to Apply
Application Deadlines
There is no deadline for pre-clinical BSN admission.
In addition to applying for admission to the university, all clinical applicants must also submit a separate clinical/supplemental application to the College of Nursing. It is recommended that clinical applicants who are not already enrolled at UMSL start the application process at least 4-6 weeks prior to the appropriate deadline.
BSN Traditional
- Fall Semester Clinical Enrollment: February 1st
- Spring Semester Clinical Enrollment: October 1st
BSN Accelerated
* Priority consideration is given to qualified applicants who meet the Early Admit Deadline.
- Summer Enrollment Early Admit Deadline: September 15th
- Summer Enrollment Final Deadline: February 1st
BSN Part-Time
- Fall Semester Clinical Enrollment: February 15th
FLEX RN to BSN
- Fall and Spring Semester Enrollment: No Deadline
(spaces are assigned to qualified students on a first to enroll basis)
MSN and Post-MSN Certificate
- Fall Semester Enrollment: February 15th
DNP
- Summer Enrollment: April 1st
- Applications received after the deadline will only be considered if space is available. Summer is the preferred starting term for the DNP Program. To discuss the possibility of being admitted in a Fall or Spring semester, please contact our graduate advisor at 314-516-7028 or hayesv@umsl.edu.
PhD
- Summer Enrollment: April 1st
