Diane has made nursing her lifelong journey. She has acute care experience in adult med-surg, orthopedics, and IV therapy. She spent 10 years at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center specializing in infant-toddler nursing. As an educator, Diane has taught at Northern Kentucky University, Northwest State Community College (NW Ohio), St. Louis Community College (Florissant Valley), and UMSL. Diane excels in the classroom and clinical arena teaching courses from fundamentals to senior synthesis. She has expertise in the legal and ethical implications of nursing practice, nursing policy and procedure, and Standard of Care, and has served as an expert nurse witness in nursing negligence cases across the country. As an early adopter of the use of simulation in nursing education, Diane is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE).
