For the past 14 years, Dayna Stock has been the manager of the Institute and director of the 21st Century Leadership Academy. From 2003-2010, she was the public member on the State Board of Optometry, and served as the Board’s first public member president from 2005-2006. Dayna is one of two national delegates representing Missouri at the Vision 2020 "American Conversation about Women in Leadership," a project of Drexel University College of Medicine's Institute for Women's Health and Leadership. In addition, Dayna serves on the executive committee of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Greater St. Louis, and is a member of the Community Advisory Council for the Missouri State University Department of Communications.
Stock earned a PhD in political science and a Master’s in Public Policy Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a
B. S. in Communications from Missouri State University. Her research agenda focuses on American politics with an emphasis on gender and political institutions, women’s roles in politics, and political ambition, specifically as it relates to college women. She has been a lecturer in political science at Washington University and UM-St. Louis, and is a sought-after speaker on the topics of women in politics, women’s leadership and electoral campaigns.
