Local Government Emphasis Area

 

The Master of Public Policy Administration (MPPA) degree program is the primary academic degree granted by Public Policy Administration (PPA).  Students pursuing the master's degree may choose an emphasis in Local Government Management.  The Local Government Management emphasis offers comprehensive education and training for individuals interested in careers in public sector administration. 

Students who have chosen the Local Government Management emphasis come from diverse fields including city government, county government, state government, non-profit organizations, government agencies, healthcare industry, and the private sector. 

In order to obtain the Local Government Management emphasis students must complete the 28 hours of the core MPPA curriculum along with 12 hours of the electives listed below.
