Julianne Stone currently serves as the Director of the Local Government Partnership, a program co-sponsored by Public Policy Administration Program (PPA), the Public Policy Research Center, University of Missouri Extension and the East-West Gateway Council of Governments. The Partnership is designed to provide training and technical assistance, to local government officials as well as to PPA students with an interest in local government to address the challenges involved in city management, public policy formulation and implementation. Stone oversees the PPA Local Government Management Certificate Program and is responsible for PPA 6340 and 6350, two courses in City Administration offered in conjunction with the St. Louis Area City Management Association. In Continuing Education, Stone offers the Chancellor’s Certificate in Planning and Zoning in conjunction with the local chapter of the American Planning Association.

Stone was previously the Director of the St. Louis Urban Outreach Office of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. She served as Policy Assistant to former St. Louis City Mayor Clarence Harmon.

She holds a Masters Degree and is ABD in Political Science from Washington University and a Bachelors Degree in Government from Oberlin College.
