The decision on one proposed course change, from Nursing 481 (Nursing Theory Analysis and Development) to Nursing 486 (Philosophy of Nursing Science) is being delayed until the full committee has a chance to hear the outcome of an on-going discussion between the School of Nursing and the Department of Philosophy. Dr. Bobbie Lee noted that the courses are part of the cooperative doctoral program between UMKC-UMC-UMSL. All of the courses are taught currently. It is a matter of fixing up something that should have occurred 5 years ago. Council accepted the committee's report.

Pat Barton will begin as Director of the Office of Research Administration and Assistant Dean of the Graduate School on Monday. She has held similar positions at SEMO and at Louisville. She majored in chemistry and history as an undergraduate and holds an M.A. in History.

There being no other business the meeting adjourned at 1:45 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
