Rules and Regulations - Thad Metz

Dr. Metz presented the current regulations of section 3.4 course loads to Council along with requested revisions from the department of Psychology and the College of Nursing. The courses deal with eligibility for equivalency hours. The Rules and Regulations are supposed to be general in nature but the current regulations on equivalency courses are very specific. The regulations would be changed to delete the sections referring to Psychology courses and inert the following:

2 equivalency hours upon enrollment in Psychology Clinical Practice or Clinical Supervision (applicable courses and number of times a given course can be repeated are listed on the Graduate Equivalency Credit Form, G-14)

2 equivalency hours upon enrollment in Advanced Practice Nursing (applicable courses and number of times a given course can be repeated are listed on the Graduate Equivalency Credit Form, G-14)

Dr. Terry Jones moved to approve the recommendation of the committee and recommend that the Graduate School ask other appropriate departments if they would be interested in a similar course equivalency. The motion was approved unanimously.

There being no other business, the meeting adjourned at 2:32 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

David Rose
Secretary and Vice-Chairperson
