Joint Undergraduate Engineering Program

Disability Access Services at University of Missouri-St.Louis

The University of Missouri-St. Louis/Washington University Joint Undergraduate Engineering Program makes every effort to ensure that all of our students can take full advantage of all courses, programs, activities, and opportunities that we offer.

Specialized student services are available to all eligible students with disabilities. Students taking any engineering courses – those offered on the campus of UM-St. Louis and those offered on the campus of Washington University – should notify the Administrator for Special Student Programs in Disability Access Services at UM-St. Louis. If you are taking Joint Program courses (“J-courses”) offered on the Washington University campus, you do not need to notify anyone at Washington University directly.

The Administrator for Special Student Programs will also work with newly admitted students or prospective students to plan for needed services prior to the student's arrival on campus for the beginning of classes. The purpose of this admission planning is to enable students to either begin or successfully continue their educational programs on the UM-St. Louis campus. Planning for specialized services always involves several offices. It is recommended that students with disabilities make applications well in advance -- at least six months prior to the desired date of enrollment. Applicants also should occasionally check on the progress of their applications.

If you do not contact Disability Access Services at UM-St. Louis, we will not know that we may need to provide accommodations for you.
