The Community Partnership Project is a cooperative effort of University of Missouri Extension and the University of Missouri-St. Louis designed to develop community partnership initiatives that link University resources with the needs and priorities of residents and communities in the St. Louis region.
Community Partnership Project Objectives:
- Convene and/or facilitate teams to respond to opportunities to connect the university and the community and address key metropolitan issues.
- Support and/or host conferences, workshops, and seminars that focus on key metropolitan issues and familiarize the community with university research and resources.
- Offer educational programs, technical assistance, and community facilitation services for community-based initiatives, in cooperation with appropriate community partners.
- Provide support for faculty and students in community-based learning efforts, including connecting courses with community issues or partners and facilitating student projects in community-based settings.
- Build connections and collaborations with and among campus and extension outreach and partnership projects.
