Vision, Perception, & the Aging Driver: Advising Patients & Clients to Promote Safety

Changes in vision and perception are an inevitable part of the aging process. For some individuals, such changes have implications for personal mobility and roadway safety. Health and service professionals play important roles in the recognition, evaluation, and management of such changes. -- This program will review age-related changes in vision and perception, driving-related evaluation with an emphasis on vision, applicable driver-licensing regulations in Missouri, and important issues for individuals, families, and professionals to consider in the promotion of older-driver safety.
