MINOR IN GENERAL BUSINESS
(Available Only to Students Seeking Non-Business Degrees)
Students must successfully complete five of the following courses:
BA 1800 Computers and Information Systems
BA 2400 Fundamentals of Financial Accounting
BA 2900 Legal Environment of Business
BA 3500 Financial Management
BA 3700 Basic Marketing
BA 3600 Management and Organizational Behavior
BA 3320 Introduction to Operations Management
Students must complete course prerequisites listed in schedule, however, some areas may permit alternative prerequisites.
In addition, the following requirements must also be met: No more than 30 hours of business courses within the 120 required for a degree. Grade point average of 2.0 or better, and must earn a C- or better grade (no satisfactory/unsatisfactory) in all courses included in the minor. At least 9 credit hours of the courses required for a minor must be taken in residence at UM-St. Louis and a minor is not conferred without completion of a UM-St. Louis baccalaureate degree. Minors may be completed for up to two years following conferral of the baccalaureate degree. All work towards a minor following conferral of the baccalaureate must be completed in residence at UM-St. Louis.MINOR IN ACCOUNTING

Minor in Transportation Studies
Available to all students. (For those pursuing the BSBA degree, this will result in an emphasis in marketing if the marketing capstone course, Bus Ad 4700, Marketing Management, is taken in addition to the requirements listed below. Such individuals will have completed both Bus Ad 3320, Introduction to Operations Management, and Bus Ad 3700, Basic Marketing.)

GENERAL RULES
The following requirements apply to the minors in Accounting, Finance, Logistics & Operations Management, Management & Organizational Behavior, Management Information Systems, and Marketing and must be met in order to complete the minors:
- Grade point average of 2.0 or better, and must earn a C- or better grade (no satisfactory/unsatisfactory) in all courses included in the minor.
- At least 9 credit hours of the courses required for a minor must be taken in residence at UM-St. Louis and a minor is not conferred without completion of a UM-St. Louis baccalaureate degree.
- Minors may be completed for up to two years following conferral of the baccalaureate degree. All work towards a minor following conferral of the baccalaureate must be completed in residence at UM-St. Louis.
- For non-business degree seeking students no more than 30 hours of business courses within the120 required for a degree are permitted.
