Student Resources

 

The IS Area offers opportunities to students to enrich themselves beyond the classroom material. The IS Mentoring Program which links current students to alumni who are working in the St. Louis IS community. The primary mission is to provide career planning development and mentoring to IS students. In addition, the Area sponsors an IS Programming Club (ISPC). The IS Programming Club sponsors speakers from the community on new technological developments and employment opportunities.

 

The Area also sponsors a IS Student Discussion Group both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Not only does this serve as a mechanism for announcements about scholarships, employment opportunities and deadlines, it provides a medium for discussion among the students.

IS Students also have exclusive use of the Advanced IS Student Laboratory. This Lab of specialized hardware and software is located in Room 200 of Express Scripts Hall. It is available only to students in advanced IS courses.

The Area also has some specialized scholarship opportunities.
