Xtreme IT! began in Spring 2008 to reach out to high school students who might be interested in careers in information systems. This summer academy is a week long program in which students will be exposed to a range of IT applications as well as experience life in dorm living and at a University.

Xtreme IT! is a cooperative program between the Information Systems Department and the IS Advisory Board, with support from the College of Business Administration. Please visit the list of sponsors of the program.

Since 2008, the program attracted participants from across the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. So far we have had students There were have had students from Career Academy High School, Clyde C. Miller Academy, Confluence Academy, Francis Howell High School, Hazelwood Central High School, Ladue's Horton Watkins High School, Marquette High School, Normandy High School, Rockwood's Layfayette and Eureka High Schools, Roosevelt High School, Soldan International Studies High School, Vashon High School, and Webster Groves High School, .
