Stipends for research and teaching assistantships (average workload is 20 hours per week) are awarded on a competitive basis. Students typically receive $20,000 annually from an $18,000 stipend and a $2000 performance-based award. Tuition scholarships are awarded to all graduate assistants which includes most tuition and university fees.
In addition, funds from the Boeing Company Scholars Program in Business at UMSL are used to supplement the stipends above. For 2009-2010 two Boeing scholarships are available for new entrants into the LSCM Ph.D. program.
Assistantships may be with or through the Center for Transportation Studies, the Center for Business & Industrial Studies, or with logistics & supply chain faculty in the College of Business Administration.
