IV) Emphasis Area/Electives

General Management Track
Any four MGMT courses.

Human Resource Management Track
MGMT 5621 Managing Human Resources + three courses selected from MGMT 5624, 5623, 5622, 5625.

MBA students seeking an Emphasis in Management may choose one of the tracks specified above. Regardless of the track chosen, one must complete a minimum of 12 hours of Management electives beyond MGMT 5600.** The total number of elective courses required will depend on the number of hours waived. Students must complete at least 39 credit hours to earn the MBA degree.

Minimum: 12 hours
Total: 54 hours
 

*In addition to an upper-level Management course, students must choose courses from two other areas listed in Section III and must take at least one course in each of the functional areas while in the MBA program at UM-St. Louis.

**A maximum of 15 hours in any functional area will count toward the degree requirements.
