The value of Professional MBA program stems from two sources: the
convenience of the online delivery system and course format, and the high
quality of the faculty. The online format allows you to reduce the time
spent on campus, without eliminating the important interaction and networking
opportunities that arise in the classroom. Our faculty are not part-time instructors who drop by to teach a class after work
- they are nationally respected scholars who have published numerous articles
and books in their respective fields, and engage in extensive real-world
consulting. The quality of our faculty (and our program) is reflected
in the fact that the Professional MBA program is the only online MBA offered by an accredited College of Business in the region.
Curriculum
The Professional MBA is a 23-month program (48 credits)
that meets one weekend per month (Friday-Saturday). Approximately half
of the course will be in a lecture format, and the remainder of the course
relies on the various communication methods available on the Internet.
Each course is completed over a twelve-week period. Generally, two new courses are introduced every three months. Click here to view the course calendar. The curriculum provides the benefits of the lecture/discussion format while relying on Internet technology to provide support and follow-up to the subject matter. Students have the benefit of interacting with their cohort groups on campus as well as over the Net.
Technology
Program participants to take an active role in the use of Internet-based
groupware. Those interested in this program should be comfortable with
the use of interactive technology and possess an Internet-accessible computer
that meets the program's specified standards.
