Prerequisites:

All students must demonstrate quantitative skills, knowledge of microeconomics and macroeconomics, business statistics, and managerial communication skills.

If students have completed equivalent undergraduate courses, prerequisites may be waived. If not, we offer the options listed below for students to satisfy the prerequisites:

Quantitative Skill: Boot Camp
Economics: Boot Camp or BA 5000 Economics for Managers
Statistics: Boot Camp or LOG OM 5300 Statistical Analysis
Communication: BA 5100 Managerial Communication

Business Core (0-21 credit hours)


ACCTNG 5400: Financial and Managerial Accounting (3)
BUS AD 5900: Law, Ethics and Business (3)
FINANCE 6500: Financial Management (3)
INFSYS 5800: Management Information Systems (3)
LOG OM 5320: Production and Operations Management (3)
MGMT 5600: Managing People in Organizations (3)
MKTG 5700: Contemporary Marketing Concepts (3)

Advanced Topics (0-18 credit hours)


MBA candidates must take at least one course in each functional area.  If a course in the Business Core section is waived, an advanced course in that functional area must be taken. If ACCTNG 5400 is waived, students must complete ACCTNG 5401. Students can take no more than a total of 15 credit hours in any functional area.

Students must complete a minimum of nine credit hours of elective courses. Courses must be graduate-level and business-related.  Elective classes may be applied to an emphasis.

*For students with a non-business undergraduate degree, The Global Management requirement is satisfied only with BUS AD 6990- Strategy Formulation & Implementation.

Students must complete at least 30 hours in residence. No more than 9 units of credit may be transferred from partner institutions.
