Executive Lunch Series

The purpose of the Executive Lunch Series is for students to interact with business leaders in an intimate and personable lunch setting. The series is designed to enhance business conversational skills, foster personal growth and career opportunities.

The belief is that students who are exposed to business leaders will be more acculturated or socialized about real world applications, customs and culture. Hence, this exposure will result in them being more effective in the business world.

Pamela Lenehan

Co-sponsors: Executive Leadership Institute
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC
Institute for Women’s & Gender Studies

Featuring author and senior executive, Pamela Lenehan

March 9 at 5:30 PM
(followed by a reception and book signing)

Topic: New Career Strategies for Women: From 35 Senior Female Executives

Venue: Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center
Lee Theatre.
Open to the public — invite your friends, colleagues and associates

In Lenehan’s book, What You Don’t Know and Your Boss Won’t Tell You: Advice From Senior Female Executives on What You Need to Succeed, 35 women were interviewed in senior-level positions in a variety of industries (legal accounting, consulting, banking, etc.) to determine how women move up the ranks within their respective companies. While the executives polled were very senior, they all started at the bottom and worked their way up. Collectively, these executives generously (and often anonymously) offered their advice and experiences.

Pamela F. Lenehan is president of Ridge Hill Consulting, a strategy consulting firm. In her 30 year business career, she was a managing director in Investment Banking Credit Suisse First Boston; Chief Financial Officer of Convergent Networks; and senior vice president, corporate development and treasurer of Oak Industries, a $500 million NYSE-listed manufacturer. Lenehan started her career at Chase Manhattan Bank lending money to growing technology companies. She is on the board of The Center for Women & Enterprise, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women to become economically self-sufficient through entrepreneurship.

Lenehan earned a BA in mathematical economics, cum laude with honors, and an MA in economics from Brown University. She co-chairs Springboard, a venture forum in New England that assists women entrepreneurs in raising equity capital; held at MIT in November 2002, and at Babson College in November 2003. She also co-chairs for the Forum Committee, held at Boston University in 2004, and at Harvard Business School in November 2005. She and her husband have a blended family of four young adult children and live in Needham, Massachusetts.
