Auto Club of Missouri
Kenneth A. Johnson retired as President and
Chief Executive Officer of the Auto Club of Missouri in July 2006.
He had assumed the presidency of the Auto Club of Missouri in June
of 1990. His career with the Club began in November 1989 when he was
chosen to be vice president and general manager responsible for
membership sales and membership related services throughout the
Club’s territories.
In 1966, he began a career with Trans World Airlines in the Kansas
City operations and from there moved frequently to various locations
throughout TWA’s organization to a number of positions with
increasing levels of responsibility, concluding his career as staff
vice president-Reservation Sales and Services, a position he assumed
in 1988.
As president of the Auto Club of Missouri, Ken was responsible for
all day-to-day operations sales and services, public affairs,
marketing, strategic planning and board relations for a 1,154,000
member multi-service organization. In addition to club related
products and services, automobile and homeowners insurance products
were provided to members underwritten through club affiliated
insurance entities. Overall gross revenue for the organization
approached $521 million with assets of nearly $338 million at the
end of 2005.
Ken received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/
Management in 1965 and a master’s degree in Business Management in
1966. Both degrees were earned from
In addition, Ken is a board member of the Auto Club of Missouri,
Auto Club Enterprises, the AAA Life Insurance Company, and the AAA
Investment Company of which he is chair. He is a trustee of the AAA
Foundation for Traffic Safety and a former board member of AAA
Financial Services.

Ken and his wife Sharon reside in Chesterfield, Missouri.
