Paul Van Wert

Teaching is a second career for Paul Van Wert, who joined the Accounting faculty after a distinguished 25-year career at Anheuser-Busch.  Paul earned a B.A. in English from the University of Illinois and launched his career at Anheuser-Busch as a technical writer.  From that entry-level position, he progressed through a number of leadership roles in IT, Brewery Administration, and Accounting.  Along the way, he earned master’s degrees from UMSL in both Information Systems and Accounting.  Paul is currently teaching the Introductory Financial Accounting course to all UMSL business majors and the Financial Accounting and Reporting I course to UMSL accounting majors.  We are thrilled that so many UMSL students will gain their introduction to accounting from Paul.
