Accounting ClubAccounting Club is an academic organization that aims to introduce the field of accounting, foster interest and curiosity about accounting, and grow together in acquiring business knowledge as a collective student body. The Accounting Club is open to all students who wish to be involved with campus activities. This is a great organization for all students, particularly anyone considering a career in the accounting profession. Besides learning about the accounting profession in a relaxed atmosphere, the members get a chance to meet other business majors and potential employers, providing a great networking opportunity. |

Delta Sigma PiDelta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community. |
Finance ClubThe purpose of the Finance Club is to provide various resources to students studying finance who are interested in a career in the financial industry. The club will provide various workshops, Finance Career Mentoring Events, and Job Fairs to students. The Finance Club will also serve as an organization that is here to answer any finance related questions, provide guidance on what classes to take and helpful information related to the preparation of the CFA exam. |
International Business ClubThe International Business Club desires to provide UMSL students with knowledge and experience in the area of International Business. For more than 10 years, the club has sought to provide a forum for professional and social contact between and among students and professionals working in or with International Business. Guest speakers from international companies help accomplish the Club's goals through presentations and workshops. This organization is open to students of all majors. Among its many activities, the club hosts a number of networking events and meetings throughout the semester to get students interested in transnational-themed topics. International Business Honor SocietyThe vision of Epsilon Eta Pi, The International Business Honor Society, is to be the leading business society in the world for motivated and globally-focused students with a defined interest in the field of International Business. Our mission is to develop professionals with the personal dedication, integrity, and leadership needed to succeed in today’s global environment. We will provide an individualized educational and social learning experience to develop the business skills and global awareness necessary compete in a dynamic international economy. Students must be current junior or seniors majoring in International Business with at least a 3.2 GPA. Please stop by at International Business Institute office SSB 461 and fill out a form, or download an application form. |
IS Mentoring ClubTo broaden the horizons of IS students by enhancing their exposure to the IS industry and expanding their opportunities for career development and professional networking through interaction with IS practitioners. |
IS Programming ClubTo give students real world examples of how technology is applied in business applications, and to foster further understanding of new developments in IT. These goals are accomplished through presentations and workshops on current topics by guest speakers from industry, participation of students in the club’s web development corps which helps non-profits and small businesses with their web presence, site visits to leading software development companies, programming contests, and networking. |
Marketing ClubOur mission is to help you build your personal brand, your career, your future. We do this by providing networking opportunities, guest speakers and industry site visits with cutting edge digital and social media marketing and communications companies such as Locker Dome, Elasticity, Atomic Dust and FleishmanHillard. We also hold an annual speed networking event featuring executives from Boeing, Anheuser Busch, Unidev, Purina, and more. We also provide free professional head shots every semester to help you with your LinkedIn profile. We are a club 30 active members strong. Just attend at least 3 events in a given semester to be considered an active member and you will also receive a paper certificate in that honor to share on your social media. Transportation ClubThe objectives of the Transportation Club include providing opportunities for UMSL students to see real-world examples of how transportation and logistics is applied and is essential to business activities, and facilitating social contact between and among students and industry professionals of transportation and logistics firms. Club activities are designed to showcase the importance of transportation and logistics, point out job opportunities in the industry, and help students network with industry professionals. |
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance ProgramThe UMSL VITA program offers a variety of opportunities for students currently enrolled in the UMSL College of Business Administration, as well as other community members. Student and community volunteers are trained to provide free basic tax return preparation for eligible taxpayers. |
