Eligibility Members status in Alpha Mu Alpha is available to individuals who attend a college or university having an established AMA (American Marketing Association) collegiate chapter, and/or who attend a regionally or nationally accredited institution. The Alpha Mu Alpha faculty coordinator nomiates marketing students who meet the academic standards approved by the AMA Board of Directors. The nominees are invited to complete initiation procedures and gain Alpha Mu Alpha Honorary recognition. It is not mandatory for the candidate to be a member of the American Marketing Association. However, membership in the AMA can provide continuing professional education in current marketing practices.
Senior Undergraduate Students: All students in the top 10% grade point average (GPA) of all undergraduate students at the College of Business Administration graduating within the academic year.
All students in the top 20% GPA of all students in the Masters Program and concentrating in marketing. A concentration is considered a minimum of two graduate marketing courses beyond the core graduate course in marketing.
All doctoral students majoring in marketing who have completed their course work and passed their comprehensive examination.
Alpha Mu Alpha members are recognized for this achievement at the annual College of Business Administration Student Honors Banquet. Lifetime membership is $30.
