The UMSL Business team successfully competed in the Society of Financial Service Professionals, 3rd Annual National Industry Case Competition.
The UMSL team was made up business students Andrew Fretwell and Hannah Russell, and business alum Benjamin Klutenkamper. Gary Flotron served as faculty advisor to the team. Finalist teams competed for scholarship funds in an oral competition on January 27, 2014 at the Society’s Arizona Institute in Phoenix.
The competition was an opportunity for the students to examine a critical issue of high relevance to the financial services profession. The title of this year’s issue was: “Which Way to Go? Best Practices in Identifying and Evaluating Specific Careers in the Financial Services Profession.”
The UMSL team was awarded a $2,000 prize.
