Since his retirement from Anheuser-Busch Companies in December 2008, Stephen (Steve) J. Burrows formed Red Spider LLC to pursue two of his long term interests; education and business consulting. Steve is a professor in residence at Nanjing University in Nanjing China where he teaches a Business Strategy Course for the International MBA program. He also teaches in Vietnam and at Seinajoki University in Finland. Steve is working on several business development projects for U.S. based companies who are expanding their operations overseas.

Prior to his retirement Steve was employed by Anheuser-Busch for 30 years. For the past 15 years he was an officer of the company and member of the senior executive management team. Most recently he served as the chief executive officer and president of Asia Pacific Operations for Anheuser-Busch International, Inc. He served as a member of the strategy committee for the parent company; a board member of Anheuser-Busch International, Inc.; and on the boards of a number of Anheuser-Busch International subsidiaries. Burrows previously served as a board member of the Harbin Brewery Group Ltd. in China and Crown Beers India Ltd. in India and as vice-chairman of the board of directors of Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd., in Qingdao China.

Burrows serves on the board for the Family Resource Center for Abused Children in St. Louis and the University of Missouri-St. Louis International Business Advisory Board. He is a member of the Global Advisory Network for Heidrick & Struggles, Manatt & Jones Global Strategies, Gerson Lehrman Group, Dematteo Monnes, The Frontier Group of Consultants and the Carlson Research Group all of which provide business consulting services.
