Mark Weisheit

Mark Weisheit is Vice President, Planning and Business Development for Nidec Motor Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of commercial, industrial, and appliance motors and controls.  In his role Mark is responsible for both organic (synergistic) and inorganic (mergers and acquisitions) growth of the $1.1B/year St. Louis-based CIMC division’s global product platforms and manufacturing footprint.  He also plays a key role in the planning of the company’s future-state organizational structure.

Mark has been with Nidec, and its prior owner – Emerson Electric Co, since 2006 where he spent ten years leading global supply chain teams; first for metals commodities and subsequently for all strategic components and materials.  In 2008 he completed negotiations and signed contracts securing over 800,000 metric tons of steel delivered in various forms.  Prior to Emerson, Mark spent eleven years in the steel industry, serving in positions including Operations Manager, Inside Sales Manager, Territory Sales, and Senior Regional Manager before receiving the call from Emerson to move to St. Louis.  Mark earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Indiana University in 1995 and was awarded Best Project from the St. Louis University, Cook School of Business in 2008.

Today he serves on multiple committees and outside advisory boards, and leads fundraising activities for the Greater St. Louis Area Council Boy Scouts of America, and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Mark is himself and Eagle Scout and an avid outdoorsman.
