James Sembrot

James Sembrot is the Senior Director of Logistics Strategy at Anheuser Busch, Inc.  He currently oversees all transportation and warehousing strategic initiatives, analytics, process improvement projects, network design, inbound optimization, Logistics CAPEX, and the Logistics technology program. Prior to this role, James led transportation for AB’s North American zone, accountable for over $1.2 billion in annual freight spend.  He had strategic and operational oversight for a 750-tractor fleet and 1.1 million annual truckload and intermodal loads.

Before joining Anheuser Busch, James was the Vice President of Logistics for Simmons Bedding Company.  In this role, he led all facets of transportation and distribution for 21 JIT/Lean manufacturing plants, serving 16,000 retail locations. James has also led transportation and warehousing operations while at The Home Depot, to include leading a network of 10 distribution centers and having procurement responsibility for over $1.5 billion in annual transportation spend.  James is a former Navy Supply Corps Officer, with six years of experience in inventory control, financial management, and procurement.

James has an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management, with concentrations in Transportation Management, Finance, and Marketing.  His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
