Department of Finance and Legal Studies offers the Bachelor of Business Administration degree with emphasis in Finance.
Finance is a multi-disciplinary field that combines various concepts from psychology, economics and accounting with financial techniques to make sound business decisions and solve financial problems. Finance students may choose from among focused study areas by completing "track" requirements in corporate finance, financial planning, financial services, insurance, or investment and portfolio management.
Our faculty are internationally recognized as some of the finest researchers in the discipline, and the demand for our graduates continues to grow. St. Louis is a national hub for financial services, and we partner with a variety of corporations and organizations to educate the financial professionals of the future.

Department of Information Systems and Technology offers the Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems.
Information Systems teaches students to develop and apply information technology-based business solutions through curriculum incorporating leading edge technologies used in both public and private organizations. Building on a core business program, IS students study the social and technical design, development and security of computer-based and web-based information systems. UMSL is the only institution in St. Louis to hold the National Security Agency/Department of Homeland Security designation as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CD).
The IS faculty includes distinguished internationally renowned researchers as well as highly experienced practitioners from St. Louis's leading corporations. Department of Supply Chain & Analytics focuses on the whole supply chain including procurement and sourcing of raw materials, ingredients and components, production or service delivery, and distribution to the customer. The department also covers business analytics, including descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytical tools for better decision making across all areas of business.
The Supply Chain & Analytics faculty are outstanding teachers and researchers who work closely with St. Louis area businesses.
