Research:

  • Dr. Rust recently completed AEP River Operations: Legacy of Excellence, the corporate history of one of the nation’s largest barge companies.  The University of Oklahoma Press published his first book, Flying Across America: the Airline Passenger Experience.  Dr. Rust’s research interests include the history of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, the safety culture of inland waterways operators, and the transportation revolution of the 1950s.
