Scholarships
Barry M. Goldwater ScholarshipThe Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship was created to attract students into careers in Mathematics, the Natural Sciences, and Engineering. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit to students who are Sophomores or Juniors during the current academic year and who have excellent academic records and demonstrate interest in and potential for careers in Mathematics, the Natural Sciences, and Engineering. The scholarship covers eligible expenses for tuitition, fees, books, room and board up to a maximum of $7,500 per academic year.
Colleges nominate students for the Goldwater Scholarship through the Goldwater Scholarship Faculty Representative. Associate Dean Clark is the University of Missouri-St. Louis faculty representative. Students who wish to discuss applying for the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship should make an appointment to meet with her.

Harry
S. Truman Scholarship
Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation awards 30,000 merit based scholarships
to college students who wish to attend graduate school in preparation
for careers in government or elsewhere in public service. Candidates
must be nominated by thier current institution. Eligible students
should be junior-level with a superior academic record and committed
to a career in public service. The foundation defines public service
or employment in government at any level, uniformed services, public interest
organization, nongovernmental research and/or educational organizations
and public-service oriented non-profit organization.

The Morris
K. Udall Foundation
The Morris K. Udall Foundation is committed
to educating a new generation of Americans to preserve and protect their
national hertiage through studies in the environment, Native Americans
health and tribal policy. To encourage studies in this area, the
Morris K. Udall Scholarship was established.
Because environmental issues can be approached in a multidisplinary way, the scholarship is offered to students from a broad range of displines such as Biology, and other natural sciences, natural resource management, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, History, and Public Policy. It is anticipated that no matter what the candidates plan of study, it will include course work in ethics and public policy and include community service experience.
