Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Greco’s research, clinical work, and teaching interests are within the broad domains of child clinical, pediatric-health, and contextual-behavioral psychology. More specific research and scholarly interests include philosophy of science (particularly functional contextualism) and Buddhist psychology, with an emphasis on integrating Eastern philosophy and practice into evidence-based psychotherapies. Dr. Greco’s primary areas of expertise and most recent publications focus on:

  • Measurement of acceptance, mindfulness, and related processes in youth
  • The nature and role of acceptance and mindfulness across the lifespan (especially among school-aged children, adolescents, and parents)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for youth struggling with a wide range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and chronic health conditions (e.g., physical pain, diabetes, cancer); Applications of ACT across family, school, and medical settings

Dr. Greco’s secondary research and clinical interests include:

  • Peer and family relationships in childhood and adolescence
  • Risk and protective factors among youth who struggle with anxiety, body image concerns, and/or chronic medical conditions
  • Behavioral parent training (e.g., Parent-Child Interaction Therapy)

 

Note: Dr. Greco is currently on leave, and will not be accepting students applicants to work in her lab for the 2008-09 and 2009-10 academic years.
