Dr. Gentile has published two books, Sexing the Look in Popular Visual Culture and Ivy Compton-Burnett. Other work includes articles on Jane Austen, Henry James, Edward Bond, and Jane Bowles, as well as studies on theories of the Gothic. Over the years, Dr. Gentile has taught courses in American Literature, Modern British Novel, Jane Austen, Gothic Fiction, and Comedy.
