Professor Allison has studied graduate economics at the University of Virginia with fields in Public Finance and Economic Theory. His primary areas of research are econometric theory and business cycles. Professor Allison is Director of the Computer Laboratory for Quantitative Analysis and Economic Resource Center. He regularly teaches courses in macroeconomics and econometrics. In 1996 he received the Lecturer of the Year Award in the College of Arts and Sciences.
