Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Patricia Parker
E. Desmond Lee Endowed Professor in Zoological Studies
Typically, we would welcome undergraduate involvement in research projects
in our lab, to partner with Research Associates or Graduate Students on
studies involving the population genetics of interesting species, mostly
from the Galapagos Islands. Students would usually earn Independent Study
credits during their first semester of involvement. Thereafter, they may
be eligible to be hired as a part-time worker if opportunities exist in
the areas of their training.
Laboratory Assistance Needed for:
-
Genetic characterization of blood parasites infecting Galapagos endemic birds
- Population genetics of endemic Galapagos birds.
