Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor
Molecular/Cellular Biology

The Department of Biology, University of Missouri-St. Louis, invites applications for a Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor in Molecular/Cellular Biology. The position is a nine-month, full-time, renewable appointment to teach courses in the areas of molecular and cellular biology, and advise undergraduate students. Optional summer teaching is possible. A Ph.D. degree with an emphasis in molecular or cellular biology or associated area is required, with teaching experience desirable. Appointment will begin January 1, 2008 with applicant review beginning November 26, 2007. Assistant Professor in Developmental Biology
University of Missouri-St. Louis

The Department of Biology at University of Missouri at St. Louis invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in developmental biology. Applicants with expertise in any aspect of developmental biology will be considered; however, we are particularly interested in applicants who focus on non-mammalian systems and use interdisciplinary approaches, including molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, and functional genomics. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a vigorous externally funded research program and participate in teaching and advising of both undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) and post-doctoral experience in an appropriate discipline with evidence of high-quality research. Complete applications will include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a concise outline of research plans, copies of up to five publications, a statement of teaching interests and philosophy, and three letters of reference.
