rRyan Krull is a lecturer in the College of Arts and Sciences. He earned his BA in Communication (2010) and an MFA in Creative Writing (2014) from UMSL. He teaches several sections of University Studies as well as the innovative Reacting to the Past, a class that tasks students to write from a historical point of view. He also teaches Introduction to News Writing and serves as advisor to UMSL’s independent student newspaper, The Current. His fiction has appeared in Whiskey Island, Hobart, december, and is forthcoming in Humanities Corner. He regularly contributes interviews with writers about their work and the writing life to The Rumpus.
