I’ve had the opportunity to work with students since I was an undergraduate myself at Penn State Erie, the Behrend College. I realized that I wanted to work with college students while I was Orientation Director going into my senior year of college. Helping students acclimate to college life and understand academic culture is something I am very excited about.
I have been working on the academic side of higher education since the spring of 2008 when I was hired at a small private university in Lexington, Kentucky. It was while I was working there as the Academic Services Coordinator that I was also taking graduate courses toward my Master’s degree in Higher Education at the University of Kentucky. In the fall of 2011, I took a different position in Lexington as the VA Certifying Official for a community college where I had the tremendous honor of assisting veterans and service men and women attain their educational goals.
I wrapped up my Master’s degree in December 2011 and am thrilled to be here at UMSL to help you achieve your goals by doing everything from helping you choose classes to deciding on a major to applying for graduation.
I am located in 303 Lucas Hall. Stop by sometime; I’d love to meet you!
