Tap into the following resources at no charge:

UMSLCareerKey: This web-based software enables alumni to conduct a job search on-line 24/7, gaining access to job leads and employers.  Please note the nature of jobs that come into a university career services office are primarily entry-level, although some experienced level positions are posted as well.  The system only houses graduates through 2000.  If you graduated prior to 2000, please call Career Services at 314-516-5111.  After confirmation of your degree, we can add you to the system.

Get started in the UMSLCareerKey.  Look for the “new users, “click here” link and follow the prompts.

Please be sure to visit the UMSL Alumni Career Management to view job postings for experienced level candidates.

Workshops: Weekly workshops on Resume Writing, Interviewing Skills, Demystifying Networking, and others are available to UMSL alumni.  No pre-registration is necessary.

Job Fairs: Admission is free to alumni who pre-register (available up until one week prior to job fair).  Pre-registration is necessary!  Click here for more information on upcoming Career Fairs.

Career Resource Lab:  You are welcome to use the computers in the Career Services Career Resource Lab during normal working hours.  A Career Services staff member will log you into the system.  Due to the university printing policy, however, there are not printing options for alumni.

If you seek individual assistance, fee-based services are available:

Individual Appointment: While the office does not provide long-term career coaching, you can make an appointment to go over job search strategies and communication pieces (resume, cover letter).  One (one-hour) individual appointment by a professional staff member is available free of charge.  Any subsequent appointments will have a fee of $50.00 per hour.

Career Assessment: A career assessment package is available to alumni at a fee of $50.00.  Assessment tools offered include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory.  The fee includes administration, scoring and a one-hour interpretive session.

UMSL Alumni Career Management:  Be sure to visit the Career Management site to gain access to resources for life-long career management.
